i think this is a conspiracy to require paid email accounts to sign on to these forums! what are you trying to keep track of? is it because you know we have to use real phone numbers to dial up when using a paid account?! why cant i just be anonymous? i know you can still figure out my IP address when i come here so isnt that good enough for you? how much info does a person have to shell out to get some %#@&#! support these days?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Can you explain? I signed up so long ago I don't remember the process. I know that my profile only has a Yahoo account in it. emmy

Candy everything necessary to visit this site is free. There are no charges for anything here.

Do you think you may have clicked on an advertisement link in here? We have a lot of those, as they sponsor this web site. Anything asking for money would be one of those. Just back out of them or close out the window.

Email from here is an option under your profile. If you dont want reminders emailed then go to "My Profile" (at the top of this page) and select the options you want. Otherwise they may email you newsletters and some of our postings. Which you dont have to have emailed at all.

I use People Pc as an ISP. They usually have free internet for at least a couple of months, and then it is cheap.

Does any of this help with your questions?

Let us know if you need more help on this.

I think your post is very disrespectful of the fact that SOMEBODY took the time to set up a FREE forum so that people like us can seek support. If you don't want to volunteer an email address (which, by the way, is used for things like requests for password resets and notification if the board has an unplanned outage), you are welcome to set up your OWN support forum, pay for the domain and hosting, and not require anyone to provide their email address. I hope somebody thanks you for your efforts as well, instead of complains that you are asking for too much info and questions your motives.

Are you referring to needing something other than a yahoo or hotmail email addy? The reason for that is that it is easy to get multiple yahoo or hotmail accounts... easy to be a bunch of different identities. It was quite common on one yahoo group that I used to moderate for people to have more than one identity, and sometimes they tried to stir up trouble that way.

Please slow down and take a deep breath. Getting bent out of shape over someone else's conspiracy theory only serves to inflame misunderstandings.
