SORRY I KNOW THIS ISN'T MENTAL HEALTH RELATED....BUT IT MAY TURN INTO SOMETHING MENTAL HEALTH RELATED IF IT BREAKS!!!!

my water has been shut off for about a week.

now, my water heater, which is inside the house in my laundry room, is not making a funny noise. a low kinda humming wooshing purring?? kinda like a air purifier when it's running.

i don't know what it's doing or if it's trying to heat water that's not in there??

how do i turn it off?????

thanks!!!!

the last thing i need to break my water heater!!

I don't know anything about water heaters but my hubby seems to think that there may be a switch on the thing(I don't think he knows much about them either LOL), if there isn't a switch then I suggest checking your electrical breaker box, my water heater is on it's own switch maybe yours is too. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
