This is true, honest, I heard it on NPR.

California has outlawed cock fighting (as well all states should).

Apparently, in the Olympices, fencers now have a special little ball at the tip of the swords. And they wear special suits with sensors in them. These sensors register each hit for points.

Now someone has invented something similar for roosters. So, a California legislator has introduced a bill to allow cock fighting. "The chickens will wear little vests," he said. "And they will have little boxing gloves so that the hits will score points. And the chickens will live to fight another day."

Roosters in tiny little vests and boxing gloves???????

I'm so glad the legislators stay focused on the really important issues.
