what a last couple of days. On thursday my daughter was injured at school. This is my 10 year old neice that I adopted that was meth exposed prenatally and afterward in a meth house. She was in the wheelchair ya you may remember but she is also sooooooooo sensative to pain (remember when she was a baby and you touched her she got hives?) so any little bit of pain is a crisis. The school never called me and sent home a note. She had triped over another child and her stomach was black and blue already her arms are scraped in an area about 7 inches long. She also hurt her hand wrist area. So I take her to the er for her arm and they take an x ray and blood tests to check for internal bleeding and 6 hours later the dr pokes his head in and says all fine just sprained wrist you can go. No splint no nothing but its 11 pm so we go home and all night she screams and cries and the next am I take her to her peds dr and she wraps it in a splint says sometimes a fracture doesnt show up right away on the xray so keep an eye on it. So she scream all day and all night and the next day (today) I take her back to walk in and say hey something needs to be done. So the dr takes a long time feeling her hand and wrist while she screams and says well were it is swollen and bruised there is a bone that is common to break that usually wont show up on the xray so I am pretty sure its broken but what we do for this bone is splint but a different type so she gives her a splint that holds her thumb still and she can move her fingers the bone is under the thumb I think. What do yu know???? As soon as its immobilized she smiles and says thats better. She is still in some pain but better. Then afterward this place we rent to own her bed and our dryer comes and takes them back because I am very angry at how I was treated by this new guy I have been a customer for years but this guy was so rude and mean and so now she has no bed we have no dryer. However someone on craigs list is giving me a dryer if I pick it up. Plus there are many options for a bed.
Im tired and stressed and feel like crying. I guess that this is normal stress though so I am glad that its stress that other people face too not lik the ptsd stuff. ((HUG)) sigh

MINIME,
I'm not sure how to send a hug so I'll just say if I knew how I would.
Thanks for this!

Yes. Seemingly "normal" stress can be exhausting though!

Don't forget to take care of you too.

I'm so sorry that you're daughter had to go through this and that she's feeling better now. When it rains it pours, I hope the storm is over for now. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Please send me patience. I am at the edge of mine. There are very very very very few times that I start thinking that everyone in the world is so self centered and could care less about anyone outside their circle. I know that its not true but it feels that way today.
I have been trying to find someone to pick up a dryer that I can get for ten dollers and people are all acting like I am asking them to give me a million dollers. So I just finally said never mind and sat down and cried. I am ok I think.
Ok someone did call and say sorry of course we can help. I guess people are not used to me just giving up and crying. So keep your fingers crossed the dryer works and the cord is the right one. SIGH I could stand someting to turn out the way i need it to.
Now I am going to get on my soap box but i sometimes think that the word puts value on things that are stupid. We value athletes and ay them millions...we value cars and material goods and status. We look down on people who are poor and struggling. On chrstmas we have commericals on what to buy for who and what is popular....
so people spend tons of money on material goods for people who may not even remember what they got last year. Instead of buying gifts for a homeless child (on christmas eve I was at the mall and there was a giving tree for homeless kids and about 100 tags still on it and people walked past it with so many bags of stuff they could barely carry it) I was disgusted.
Somtimes I get so digusted with the world and its values. I dont think that it should take a childhood like mine to force people to look outside their self. I dont mean just buying a small gift for a homeless child but doing something because it feels better then anything else. Why doesnt doing something for someone else feel good for many people? I guess I feel a little disapointed in the world but it wont last. I will see the good again soon. Im just a little tired and sad and hurt that people can be so selfish.
