This morning my phone rang . I never pick up unless I know who it is . This morning I was nursing my toes that have been suffering from psudou gout . so I had some frozen vegies on them . LOL!

I was listening in when this man said he was watching me skate at the skating rink On Saturday and he saw me go down and he said it looked like you passed out.

I raced for the phone..LOL because I had no recollection of my fall at all.

After talking with him a bit I realized that In all my time skating I have ALWAYS ALWAYS known where my blades are and when I catch an edge and I have ALWAYS seen the fall and always known what hand did or did not brace.
This time I had no recolection. I indeed did pass out. With out this mans info It would have never occured to me I passed out first.
So Not sure what this means. I have never passed out before . At least not to my knowledge.

the mans voice ws so nice and he said today wa his birthday . Didn't catch his name . and he didn't tell me.

any way . wow someone saw and someone cared . Im over whelmed.

Hi Madigram,

Absolutely. Grateful for him. And I just made an appointment for next week , to get both my attention distraction and memory problems along with this black out adressed Its time . am wondering if I should be driving.... In the er they just let me go no further tests. I think they just assumed I caught an edge fell and hit my head .There were lots of people looking out for me that night all the staff. They managed to find my bag . they did alot of locker opening . preety funny listening to the recap. head still hurts..to laugh or cry.

Gonna go rest .

patricia,

hi, i'd like to encourage you, even though this was not a fun thing, to remember this experience, maybe even journal it BECAUSE it was a time when people put themselves out a bit to take care of you and see to your welfare. things like this can be used to help put something good into your "emotional bank". i am sorry you are hurting physically.

i had a sweet experience this past June. my husband and i got to go to Rome since he had to go for business. he is fit and stronger than i am and so we did some sightseeing that activated my severe pain problems even while using my cane and pain meds. we went to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. i have bone on bone arthritis in both knees, plus fibromyalgia and after a dozen areas and at least that many sets of stairs i was not taking much in any more. and just when i felt like i couldn't go on, a man stopped beside me and leaned over and said, "Madam, you are very brave". he was gone before i could see and thank him, but a total stranger showed me compassion that my mate has long since lost from long exposure to my pain problems. that small gesture comes to my mind pretty often and gives me a little glow. pain is so tiresome and robs me of many things i would like to do and places i would like to go. sorry if i went on too long about this, it just encourages and touches my heart. i hope this experience can do that for you also. hugs,

leslie and her pixies

Ok don't go paranoid on me but.... how did the hospital give out your personal data to a stranger in this day and HIPPA age?????

Glad you know what happened now...sorry to hear it though. Please do call your MD?

Hi, Patricia...
First, let me say how much I admire that you can ice skate! Whoa...something I could never master!
It was nice of the man to call and check on you. The first thing I wondered about, though, since you said he didn't give his name and you don't know him, is how he obtained your contact information? Like Sky asked.
It does concern me that you passed out and didn't remember.
Love

Multipixe,
Did he have a hat on by chance?

I love these kinds of stories . I had one happen to me a year ago end of December. I had just gotten off work was real dog eared looking . I had been in a library looking at a mans photo display whos in AA . I was dark out and I was stopped at the crosswalk when this man in a "HAT" .LOL stopped diagonally from me . I was staring in his direction waiting and watching to see if the car was going to stop. And it did and he said.

Your beauty made the car stop .

something like that .
LOL .. he really caught me by surpirse. I will never forget it.

It did occur to me it was dark out though..

Its more than just the words though Multi , its the entire experience , the way they say it the look etc. It sounds like you had one of those kind souls that day also.

Sky And Seeker .

well gee. I was having lots of fun wondering who this Zorro angel . watching over me .. LOL

turns out A figure skater I know emailed me a bit later today and said Oh Greg.. hes the short man with the red cap who usually skate with his partner , Yeah okay . I know him ..

sigh.. fantasy of angel knight in shinning armour vanished...

Greg Did stop at the hospital on Sunday to inquire about me and he went to the rink durring a freestyle later that afternoon when he knew hed find someone who knew me and could get my phone number. When he called he didn't say anything Like oh Im greg the man who skates public with Marcia .

Any way he was right in the circle with me and he knew what he saw . He was so concerned he had to follow through. So its ligite. I blacked out before falling

BUt hey I had someone who knew me right there and out of all the people there skating there was only one other who knew me . and that was the ice host So Im very very fortunate . Now that I know who he is I can call him back .

Well. No fawner or wideyed enamored tall drink of water drooling after me ..sigh. Im dissapointed..LOL!!!

head still hurts... thanks for your concern . Its okay .

Patricia

There are some truly wonderful people in this world. What does it say about society that instead of enjoying the triumph in humanity someone must question motives and intent. I have met more than one of these angels and I know that when I share their my stories I'm either met with disbelief or the motives of the person involved are questioned. Enjoy your moment!
