Things I can't stand: (feel free to post your own lists)

- fingernails on a blackboard
- rude people
- women with really high voices
- people bothering me when I'm busy
- mistreatment of animals and children
- racism
- people who don't know me looking at me like I have a wart on my nose or something else disgusting
- interrupted sleep
- not being able to fall asleep
- being in pain all the time
- rap "music" (apologies to those who like it)
- the current "anti-smoking" campaign... as opposed to drugs and alcohol which can kill instantly
- waitresses filling my coffee cup right after I have fixed it - sugar, cream, etc.. then I have to fix it all over again
- country music (aghain, apologies to those who like it)
- being outbid on ebay for an item I really wanted
- being interrupted while I'm on the computer

can't think of any more right now, bnut I'm sure I will later!!

I know we all have our own tastes in music and what some love, others can't stand. It's not a matter of right vs, wrong, just opinion.

Having said that, I totally agree with your dislike of rap and country music.

Maybe part of it with rap anyway is just an age thing. I can't understand many of the things young people like these days. My parents felt the same way about me.

Did you know there's now a style of music which is a combination of country and rap?

It's called "crap".

(Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.)

Again, just my opinion, that's all.

Those who like those kinds of music have the right to let me have it now. Pet Peeves

Luvtiels, I haven't seen your screen name before so I'm taking it you're brand new. Welcome to the boards! Pet Peeves

I have some of the same pet peeves as you, but one that gets me right where I live is INCOMPETENCE of all kinds, in any work place! ARGH!!!

Then comes:
liars
people that ***** for the sake of *****ing
moochers/users/whiners
insecure people that make themselves feel better by putting others down
promise breakers
"oblivions/obliviots" - those that go through life oblivious that they are being rude, disrespectful and think the rules don't apply to them

Hey! Thanks for starting this thread! It's the first time that I've been able to state that in public! It feels good! Pet Peeves

As far as music choices go...first, I don't think music taste is a pet peeve...it's a preference. That being said, I've been lucky enough to have an eclectic love of all music. I don't know where I would be without music. There are good songs found everywhere. I like a good song be it rap..country...jazz...classical...or gulp...70s. lol

Pet peeves include:
- Unexcused ignorance of others -- probably could be stated as lack of tolerance
- Generally sweeping accusations/beliefs/sterotypes
- People that sniff instead of BLOW THEIR NOSE. geesh
- Rude/outspoken people who hurt others feeling intentionally.

Thats all I could currently think of...lol

Wow pet peeves...

I like some of all music even country and rap. Love the Crap joke too. lol.

Back to pet peeves...

People who walk out of the room and then yell back to say something.
My Family in general (not my kids though)
People at work who say "that's not my job"
Liars and cheats and users.
Chaos in my house.
People who ask you a question and then argue with the answer. (If they know why ask?)
People who pass me then drive slower than I was.

I guess that's enough. Thanks.

September,

Actually I have been here for awhile, just taking a break. My back pain has been flaring up lately, as has my Fibromyalgia. But thanks for the welcome, anyway!

I guess the music thing is more of a personal taste than a peeve.... but I still dislike rap and country. BTW, I LOVE classical and classic rock!

More of my pet peeves:

- show-offs and know-it-alls
- people who think they are better than I am and aren't afraid to "prove it" - only to make themselves look foolish
- incessant coughing/clearing of the throat
- pounding a fist on a table/counter top (a person I know does this and it really bugs me, especially when I'm trying to concentrate on something)
- getting mail about mortgages when I don't even own the house I live in!
- phone calls from creditors
- having to take all the pain meds I do
- being told that I'm "too functional" for the local mental health center to help me find counseling

That's enough for now, I suppose. I'll think of more later.

Pet Peeves:

*People who think the "Wait To Be Seated" sign doesn't mean them

*ANYONE who walks up to my counter expecting to be waited on while talking on the cell phone to someone else

*People who call four or five times in a row because you didn't answer the first time. OK let me explain that, my kids get phone calls all day long, if they aren't there, we let the voice mail get it so that if there is a message it ends up there, but a couple of their friends don't get it and just keep calling in the hopes that someone will answer the phone. In the meantime I have to watch the phone because my work might be calling and I have to get those phone calls.

*Ungrateful people who don't get when you are doing them a favor and whine about it while you are doing it because they wanted you to do it their way

Animal hurters. Weaklings who don't have enough balls to pick on someone their own size.

Anti-semitism, we shouldn't have to have a cop outside of our synagogue. Racism in general.

Hypocrites.

Warm, sunny weather.

People that don't mind their own business.

Gah. XD The list will go on if I don't shut up.

Luvtiels, that's stupid. I hate that there has to be 'a amount' to justifiably get help. "I'm sorry, you're too heavy to be bulimic, go lose some more weight and I can justify helping you." Grrrrr...

You have to conform to what people think you should, worst off they know crap about it. Bite their arms off... TT_TT

Same goes for credit cards, but when you go to fill out the paper work, they want your life history! So how did they pre-approve you?? GGGRRRR

Tardiness... if you tell me you're gonna be somewhere at a certain time, then by God you better be there unless there's some kind of emergency or you've called me in advance to let me know you'll be late.

Rude people
Stupid people (which I am sometimes guilty of)
Intolerance for race creed, color, etc
People at work who don't carry their weight

I could go on forever with this one.

Telemarketers! I once carried on a fifteen minute conversation with a telemarketer about chocolate starfish with berry filling in the middle. 'Twas quite amusing.
