Hi Michah...

I have somatic components with my depression, PTSD, and DID, but I don't believe I have actually been diagnosed with and actual disorder at this point. I may in fact qualify for a diagnosis of one, but I don't believe I have one now.

Some symptoms I experience are chest and arm pain, shortness of breath, headaches, tinnitis, foot pain which makes it difficult for me to walk, and mild positional vertigo.

Some people, that don't have a good understanding of somatoform disorders think that people are faking these symptoms to get attention. This is NOT the case. Somatic disorders and symptoms are caused by the psychological and emotional stressors that present themselves as physical symptoms in the body. Despite what some people may think, it is not made up or all in our heads.

Hope this helped out a little.....
