JD,

Yes, and that my therapists value taking care of their own needs in order to better serve those of us who have been traumatized.

This is a blurb on the website:

"ATSS is an international organization dedicated to serving the needs of professionals working with the traumatized. Our members benefit from education, networking, resource linkage, and certification."

WOW!!!!!.................It is a small world.......

Last month I remember the good Doc that had diagnosed me with D.I.D. over five years ago say, she was asked to lecture at a conference in Canada........Guess what?..........She was the fourth speaker on the first day and her lecture was on Meditation, Mindfullness and Right Brain healing in the trauma crucible.

She has stuck with me through these years and watched my D.I.D. slowly dissapate, and has watched me become one whole person. Because of her treatment and practices and sessions to this day, D.I.D. is no more a diagnoses of mine as of 08.05.09.......and yes....I have worked through this crap with her encouragement and patience........

......I also remember signing a waiver, as so she may speak, using myself as a reference and the progress and complete integration Without the use of medication.............

.........................WOW......that is ssoooooo kool...Thanks Hunny....Sparrow

We thank you for saying the respect and admiration you have for your 'good Doc'. Isn't it true that, like JD said, we feel good about being in expert hands.

And though it is not to be taken lightly I continue to advocate for these caring and dedicated therapists to be strengthened in knowledge and love in order to do the work set before them.

It is truly a priviledge to be a part of their desire for this world to be a better place one person at a time.

It is a long road for them too. As they have walked alongside of us I am humbled by their devotion to their calling. Sparrowtail, I know you know from what I write. Your gratitude is evident in all you write.

Isn't it neat they presented at the same conference!

Hunny's dream:
that we all would be able to have a conference and meet too and that we would be able to thank each other's therapist or at least lift them high together. Now to find a benevolent believer, lol...well dreams do come true....right?!

Sparrowstail,

It is refreshing and downright lifesaving to myself to have been a part of a new therapy, that has a success rate equal to cbt therapy and prescription meds without the side effects.

It took years to find but very worthwhile finding. It really is a sort of miracle
