Hi Hamed,
I have psychosis and I've tried hypnosis in the past. I trusted the therapist practicing hypnosis very much and had great respect for her, but it didn't work for me.
She told me that her training said that people with psychotic structures (it's a psychoanalytic idea that doesn't fit squarely with the psychiatric idea of psychosis, bit I digress) are difficult or impossible to hypnotise. I don't know if that's true.
I've met other hypnotists who say that hypnosis only happens on people who "allow" themselves to be hypnotised, so it could be worth a shot if you are curious and find a good practitioner.
Thanks for this!

I've had hypnosis, and it's helped me some, but I haven't had any psychosis. However, I will try to ask my therapist, who does hypnosis, this question the next time I see her, which will be in about a week or so. We can see if she agrees with the other therapist.
Thanks for this!
