I'm bipolar. Last year I was in the hospital and while there I had 3 grand mal seizures. Afterward, for almost 3 weeks I felt what I think is normal. What people who are normal feel like. I wasn't happy or elated or depressed or blue. I just felt very even keeled. If that makes any sense.
I need a doctor who will prescribe ECT. I believe because of that experience in the hospital and my resulting state of mind that ECT would work for me.
Yes, my memory of my time in the hospital is only bits of flashes and I have a hard time recalling names now but even if that gets worse I'd be fine with it if I could just function from a place of "normalacy" instead of always being steeped in depression or alternately making rediculous impulsive decisions or flying into a nearly uncontrolled rage at the smallest thing.
I'm in Louisiana and I need help finding a doctor who will prescribe ECT for me.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks for this!
