The web site that I have heard is the most famous is The International Center for Reiki Training . You can learn it from home for free with help from sites like SRI - Share Reiki International: Reiki initiations, teachings and support for free! - Index and The Holistic Care • Index page to get started, but it requires a lot more trust that the process works. Because you want to get significant results, it will be important to really do those daily self-healing sessions whether you feel like anything is happening or not. At times you will have a greater sense that something is going on, but there will also be a lot of times that you don't sense much and have to do it anyway. It takes time to begin to see than you feel a little more relaxed, or that your thoughts aren't quite as busy. It takes time to see that you are consistently feeling a little more peaceful. It takes even more time for these things to spread into your regular daily life. Because it takes time, and because it is a passive approach, I would suggest combining it with some basic Chi Kung or Yoga - these give you something more active to work with and it is easier to see results sooner. Reiki and Chi Kung work especially well together in that reiki will help you to unblock the meridians faster and the active approach of Chi Kung will help you to expand those meridians more quickly.
Thanks for this!

I've heard a lot of good feedback re reiki. Someone I know had it done but didn't know she had it done. She had terrible back pain and a work colleague told her to turn around and she said she felt like she was being massaged but two other colleagues confirmed that the lady wasn't touching her. She hasn't had back pain since to my knowledge. There's also something called distance reiki, which would be good for those with trouble going out. I'd give it a try, only ever heard very positive stories

I did some distance reiki, even though I don't totally accept it - i swear it helped, I also did a few reiki massages where they don't touch you but hands above the body, and i also felt relief from whatever was bothering me, pshysically psychologically. It's a holistic approach vs medical

It almost sounds like the more clearly and intensely people feel it working, the less they like it.

Alot of people don't like it because it is supposed to bring out any illness or sickness and therefore it can make a person sick the next day. it also brings out anger, i know one time when the master was working on me i grabbed her in a fit of anger, and she said that that happens alot.
Thanks for this!

It's interesting that you mention about feeling sick afterwards. I had a reiki session and as soon as the healer put her hands on my head i felt a huge pressure inside my head and was left with a slight headache afterwards. And actually the next day i felt so calm and relaxed but for a week afterwards i was exhausted.

I am level 1 attuned for now, i may pursue Reiki further at some point.

I spent 8 years in the alternative arts looking for solutions for my mental health. i became a reiki master/teacher. i was part of some miraculous healings of others, both distance and hands on. It was a beautiful thing, but it didnt work to heal me. As much as I fought against it and did not want it, I finally resorted to meds. 7 years later, the miracle I have searched so long for has happened. Im sane and happy and want to live. I tried everything else. Meds and therapy have been the only thing that have worked. I finally have peace.
