Anyone tried Omega-3 ? I been reading up on it. They talked about having FISH BURP with it. If that when you burp it taste like fish ? If so, how long that FISH BURP last after taking a Omega-3 supplement ? For example an hour after taking it or last all day ?

It depends on what brand you get. I have taken a few different brands but right now I'm taking GNC and I never get fish burps. They do have peppermint ones in case you get the burps then it will taste like peppermint. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I believe Flax Seed has Omega-3 in it, and would represent a vegan and breath friendly alternative to fishy supplements.
Personally, I take fish oil supplements. My mouth does taste like fish if I burp after recently taking them. I just take them before bed. Taste only lasts an hour or so.

I've tried a few different brands, but they all hurt my stomach. I also heard, it helps if you put them in the freezer, but instead of taking them, I just eat fish a few times a week...good luck!

I've been taking high-dose fish oil for about a month, and I think it's helping my depression a little bit. I take Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega. It's has lemon oil in it, so that's what I taste afterwards, if I taste anything at all. There is also a DHA formula with strawberry oil. I keep them in the fridge and only take them with a meal.
I can't take them before bed, makes me sick, plus I recently read that for some people, fish oil can act a bit like speed (!), so taking them at night can keep you awake. |

NOW Foods Omega-3 fish oil is high on EPA and DHA, and most importantly for you, is burpless.

Ask at your health food store for one that doesn't cause the reflux effect. There are some with better coatings that are easier in that regard. Flaxseed Oil is a good alternative but has less Omega 3 in it than fish oil.
What it does, is lubricate the synapses in your brain, which helps you think, reduces or eliminates brain fog. So that could be a help with depression, and it works well for ADD. Have you also tried St. John's Wort, which works well for depression on the short term. Take it for awhile, when it feels less effective, stop for a few weeks then start it up again. I found this to be very helpful... Good luck to you!
