I'm pretty excited about this. I was accepted into an 8 week mindfulness & yoga program, which I'm hoping will help with my depression and anxiety. The best part is, it's covered by public healthcare.

I think its one of the best things one could do, you learn so much about yourself through them too.

So much great info on meditation out there and its benefits for emotional health.

Good for you! I hope you enjoy it! I have been in 2 (the first one 'didn't take', lol) & they are really wonderful. The 2nd one I was in was also covered, which was a huge help.
I'd love to hear your impressions of it. When do you start?

Well I've had 3 sessions so far, and I admit they make me feel old, fat, and inflexible. Despite that I'm enjoying them, and learning a lot. I really like the meditation - the yoga not so much. This week, one of the facilitators had to come and do a slower version with me, I thought of it as remedial yoga. But I was able to do it, at a slower pace.

And I absolutely can't sit on the floor for the meditation and discussions. it makes my back and hips hurt too much, so I need a chair, and I'm the only person who needs a chair.

Trying something new is always good. Hope you continue to enjoy it. Who cares about the differences right? You're trying that's what counts.
