I like this guy, Michael Sealey. He has guided meditations and hypnosis sessions. His voice is amazing

Some people find his voice annoying but I still like Jon Kabat-Zin, Jack Kornfield is also good as is Perna Chodron.

A book which is worth checking out is Hurry Up And Meditate by David Michie.

there is an app you can download on your phone, it's called 'simply being' and I find it really calming and good.

If you can it would be best to find a meditation teacher and work one-on-one.Things can come up during meditation. In the beginning it can be emotional. Mild guided musical meditations on YouTube might be nice. I would approach it with a very light touch. (I am a certified meditation instructor, but actually don't do much sitting meditation when I am battling depression and anxiety.) Walking meditation is a very good option...and the go to person for this is definitely Thich Nhat Hanh.

I used to like listening to ocean waves and sometimes some other natural sounds often, just in my daily life. I found them soothing and calming, especially ocean waves.

Recently it occurred to me that I don't need that because I can listen to my own breathing instead. The in-breathe and out-breathe are like the calming ocean waves that I loved, and it is my own body doing it.

Yes. Good. Cool. I do this all the time when I have anxiety attacks. I love it. Because it works as a calming device -- most of the time. Ocean waves and natural sounds are nice, too.
