Hey. I was intending to report on my experiences with neurofeedback last time. It went well, aside from a panic attack while watching a certain bullying scene in Dreamcatcher. I wasn't bullied by one of my peers (to my conscious recollection; Mom claims I was bullied but I have zero memory of it to the point I wonder if it's true at all), but there was something about the scene that really activated a sort of anxiety in me. Not just sympathy for the kid who was bullied, but like I experienced it too. (Granted, I kind of empathize to the point of occasionally feeling like it's happening to me, but still...)
Day nineteen went well too. I went in this time to get treatment for my intrusive thoughts (because they're back, unfortunately), and watched The Exorcist (Director's Cut). Great movie so far. The character-building scenes are excellent, especially considering how some horror movies nowadays are not very good at such things. And great suspense as well, of course, excellent atmosphere...I might have to watch some more of the film. I really might. |

Hello ladyrevan21: Well... the Skeezyks definitely was bullied... both verbally & physically. Although I don't typically think about it, if I wanted to, I could remember it in excruciating detail.
![]() I dislike watching anything related to someone being bullied or anything where someone is being stalked or otherwise terrorized by someone. I simply will not watch slasher flicks, for instance. ![]() I went to the theater to see "The Exorcist" when it first came out. I left about a third of the way through... ![]() I'm glad you're getting something out of this though. Thanks for sharing... ![]() |
