Okay so why do people need a CT scan of the brain? what use is it for someone? And how does ECT help

Do you mean because of a head injury or for something else mental health related.

yes, mental health illness? does anybody know why its used and for what kind of illness.

I'd say to rule out another cause that could be physical in nature.

A CT scan is just a series of X-rays, is it not? As was said, to see if there's anything in the brain. such as a tumor or evidence of a strike or such. It doesn't involve sending electricity through the brain, like ECT, which is said to help depression.
