Has anybody had this treatment and did it help you? I am thinking of doing it and would like to know what people's experience has been.

I've done a lot of EMDR with sort of mixed results.

I couldn't do it with the moving lights as that made me throw up, So I did it by holding buzzers in my hands and they alternated vibrating for the bilateral stimulation.

I did find it helpful in making some trauma memories less intense, but honestly I'm not sure it delivered the promised level of treatment. I found other forms of trauma therapy to be much more effective but that could also have been just based on where I was at in my own recovery at the time.

I have heard of it. I tried it on my own and it seemed to help somewhat. Just be careful not to hurt yourself, which is why it's best to see a certified clinician. You can find one at EMDR International Association Home | EMDR Practitioners.
