Hi Heathen!!!

I have a chow/Shepard mix that weighs in at 85 lbs. Her name is Ginger. She's a cutie!! She's got purplish-black blotches on her tongue. She is a beige color with dark brown and black highlits. She's a great dog, about 8 yrs old and has a great disposition.

Unfortunately, I don't have anyway to download a pic right now onto my computer, otherwise I would.

Anyway, nice talking with you!!

My love is for Pomeranian's. I have 3 (Pictures on my profile) I like that their small but I love the fluffy perky faces and how they til their head side to side while your talking. I love that they are a hardy breed that isn't gonna break easy. They don't realize they are little and have never good ears.

My dog is a cross between a japanese akita and a golden retriever. He's only 7 and a half months but he's huge and so rough! he loves to play rough, jumping, pushing, etc. He's very friendly though. A real pet. Huge softie

My dog is a mix of Cavalier King Charles and Miniature Shetland - they call her a Cavaland. Her coloring is blue merle and looks like a minature shetland but has the cavalier eyes. I have picture of her(puppy picture) on my profile. She shakes a paw, high fives, rolls over, does 'stay', goes into the relax position(laying on her side) when told and co-operates when we trim her claws. Okay enough bragging. Her only weakness are socks LOL and raids the laundry room if the doors left open.

So, I posted about my dog Ginger and said that she was a Shepherd/Chow mix, but today I found out that I was wrong. I assumed she was part Chow because she had purple spots on her tongue and she was fluffy, but come to find out, there are many other breeds of dogs that have purple spots on her tongue. So I did some google searching on different types of shepherds and I couldn't believe what I came across.

I FOUND MY DOG ON GOOGLE!!! Okay...well, it's not my exact dog, but it looks 97% exactly like her. Same coloring and everything. She just has a slightly longer snout and slightly longer hair.

And the winner is: She is an Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix.

Here are some pictures, which if I didn't know any better, I would say they were pictures of her!! (I'd post her actual pics but I can't download them from my phone yet)

I currently live with three chihuahuas and a Timneh African Gray parrot. Back when I had the time/space/energy I was heavily involved in greyhound rescue. Greys will always, always have a special place in my heart. They have incredibly noble, old souls. But my life is not set up to accommodate greys. No matter, I love my three chis dearly. I've been with Miss Lucci and Casanova since the day they were born. There have been many, many times when they have brought me back to sanity and are truly the reason I'm still around.

Looks like I can't post links / images yet. Casanova is my userpic. If you know picasaweb, I'm pdianne there and have tons of pics.

I have a chow mix, black in color, a hound mix of some sort, and two pugs. My chow mix (midnight) is about ten or eleven years old, she still acts like a puppy though.

basset hounds....hence "stumpy" whose real name is buster thats him in da pix. he's 3 and a rescue. way too smart for his own good. way to agile for his own good (think mountain goat...never met a table he never climbed on).

the other boys is a "bassetter" 1/2 bassett the other english setter...9.5 yrs old...also a rescue...think english setter on a basset body. goofy, sweet dumb as dirt gentle unless you are a ground hog.

my all time favorite breed is a chesapeake bay retriever...they look like chocolate labs but they are oh so different.

i think i put pix in the photo section under my name long time back.
