will ppl please keep her in their thoughts, and pray if they are that way inclined?

i know she is going to die soon, i just hope that she won't suffer greatly or for a long time. if she could just fall asleep and find peace, that would be the best i could dare to dream of.

she has been trying to sleep all today, but because she is having problems breathing every time she lies down she has to sit up again. so she has been falling asleep while sitting upright, and then hurting herself or jerking awake whenever her little head drops too low.

she went to bed 2hrs ago, and i'm praying she is asleep right now. i wanted to keep her with me tonight, but she is very attached to her little room in the backyard and insisted on being tucked in there when it came to bed time.

Sorry to hear about your sick dog. Is he just old - what wrong with him? I'll pray he won't suffer.

thank you, (((((sabrina and lynn p))))).

she passed away this morning at 5:40am.

dad had gone to get her like he usually does, and she went to the bathroom and then rolled over and asked for her tummy to be scratched. then he picked her up (because she couldn't climb the stairs yesterday) and she gave him a huge kiss and collapsed in his arms. he put her inside the house and came and woke me up, and i let her i know i was there. she couldn't raise her head by that stage, but i hope she heard me. it is possible she was unconscious at that stage.

she passed away shortly after, but i know she had already gone to sleep by then so she wasn't in any pain. i think something must have happened in her brain, because there was lot of blood everywhere.

she got diagnosed with cancer in jan 2008. the vets gave her a maximum of 3 months to live, but said it would be more likely to be 2 weeks. but my silly puppy (she's 11) pulled through all of that, and was still a bright spark on monday. she deteriorated so quickly yesterday, and i wonder if it was cruel to let her live those 24 extra hours, but i wasn't sure if she might pick up again. also, it gave everyone a chance to say goodbye. even my grandparents dropped by.

we've buried her in the back yard. she never liked tennis balls or had anything she was particularly attached to, but one thing she always perked up for was her doggie treats. so i buried a bunch of food in there with her.

you dont know how much it means to me that both of you took the time to reply. i thank you both so much .

i am glad my little baby is resting now and didnt suffer for long. she'll be able to join the rest of her doggy family who will be waiting for her, i'm sure, and meet some of my other pups whom she didnt know in this lifetime.

i got her when i was 13, so she's gone through a lot of things with me. i'm going to miss her smiley face so much .

thank you, vicky, baby & phoenix .

i dont know if i want to talk about her just yet, but pdoc said he would call me tomorrow to check in on how i'm going so i will say something then. more than anyone, he knows how important she was to me, so it will be nice to talk to him about her.

my family have been really good about it, though. most of them weren't talking to me this week (we do silent treatment in our family) but they all gave me hugs and said nice things about her when we buried her, and made sure i was happy with everything.

my sisters have some digital photos of her that i dont have, so i've asked them if they will give me copies, so one of them is sorting through it right now. Cleo used to be so funny - if you were doing something and not paying her attention, she would just sit on top of whatever you were paying attention to. so we have photos of her sitting on top of the printer, or in the kitchen cupboard, and on top of the laundry hamper. im hoping to print some of those out and maybe carry one in my wallet.

Deli.....

I'm very sorry to hear about your Pupp!!

Our pets are so special to us and they're such good friends!!

You gave her a great life, and when it was her time you showed her you were there and that you loved her!! Even if she was unconscious at that time, I believe that she knew you were there.

I'm glad that you were able to put her to rest close to you, and that she will have her treats with her as well.

I will say a prayer for her and for you tonight!!

Take good care,

my doggie is not well, at all
