Hi,
My 4 year old yellow lab, Duncan, has always done this weird little dance whenever we happen to rub his back, right above his tail. It's like he presses his butt up against your hand, and shakes his body from side to side ![]()

Yup!!
![]() My dog does this. I think it's there way of letting you know that your hitting the right spot and they want you to scratch a little harder. Right above the tail area seems to be kind of an itchy spot for dogs...and they seem to just love getting a good scratch there. I bet if you gave him a more vigorous scratch there he'd probably melt and be in heaven. ![]()

My dog likes that as well, but he loves to stand on his back paws and he dances. He will go backwards or forwards. He does it when hes happy to see you, when he wants food, or when he wants to smell something in your hand. I am always so suprised by how long he can keep this up. My mom swears he should be a circus dog lol.

M dog are so good for my soul. I owe my life to my dog, seriously. She makes this weird sound, kind of like a bird, hard to describe. She does mainly when I am upset or food is around or she REALLY wants attention. The way they interact with us is so fulfilling if you allow it to be.
