Well it could be a number of things - some easily remedied, some not so easily.

The first thing i thought of was worms. Has she been dewormed? Dewormer is not that expensive at all, and you can usually have the vet just give it to you. They have dewormer at grocery stores sometimes, but im not completely sure I would trust it.

Any changes for her recently - did you move, change her food?
Thanks for this!

It could be parasites like Rainbowzz said. This may be a dumb question - are you giving your cat milk? Milk can cause diarhhea. Rainbowzz is also correct if you change her food without easing your pet gradually, this can also cause loose pooh.

Everyrose ~

I'm sorry that your Kitty is so sick.

I know that it's really difficult to not have the money to take Kitty to the vet, but if your cat has diarrhea that is not a good sign. It may just be parasites, but the diarrhea can kill your cat if it is not treated. Even letting it go for a day can cause the cat to become extremely dehydrated and go into kidney failure.

It's a very tough decision, but if you can't pay to get it treatment, my suggestion is to take it to a no-kill shelter and give it over to them. Yes, you will need to give up your kitty, but they will treat it and get it healthy, if it's not to sick.

Otherwise, check in with friends/family and ask for financial assistance. I don't know what your credit is like, but there's this thing here on the West Coast called "Care Credit" through GE Money Bank. It's a credit card specifically for healthcare related issues and they cover vet bills too. If you take your cat to the vet and tell them you want to apply, they will take your application and get you approved immediately, provided you qualify.

It's hard....but if none of the above options work for you, the best thing to do for kitty is to give him/her to a place that CAN take care of her health needs. Otherwise she most likely will not survive and that is a very difficult thing to carry with you.

Take care.

It's very important if you want to change a cat or dogs food - that it be done gradually over a weeks time. The 1st serving would be 20% new and 80% old food and gradually increase the new and decrease the old. To be honest the grocery store food is awful and I normally buy my dogs food at a pet store - they have better quality food. I now have to buy my dog a prescription food from the vet because she had bladder stones.

Changing food suddenly is a shock to their system. Better to have your cat on a higher end food and have a healthier cat. If it doesn't go away, get a clean plastic sandwich bag and get a pooh sample - then take it to your vet the same day. Tell them you don't have alot of money - hopefully they won't charge you too much. Chronic diarrhea can make your cat very sick.

right now, the best thing you can do is just have mostly his old food, and add in a bit of the new. And something else, every.single.cat I have had has proved ALLERGIC to whiskas. So It could be that particular brand. Also, give the trots a day to work themselves out. I would STILL Reccomend going to the vet in this situation. For now, if you cant, make sure hes got water at all times.
