Yesterday, I spotted CRITTERS USA magazine (fun magazine, that) where I saw a list of popular small animals. I was unfamiliar with one called degu, so I flipped through the magazine. It was described as a "gerbil on steroids," LOL!
 It's a cute li'l thing, an exotic pet. Just wondering if anyone has any here? I don't think they'd be the right pet for me (I browsed the info on their needs), but they look like fun. I'm not super-keen on the exotic pet craze (if it's a "craze"), because we are overwhelmed with dogs, cats and other common pets who need homes, but I'm always happy for any animal who finds a loving, caring and healthy home.
