unfortunately it is way too common. the good news is this moron is now identified & will eventually be held responsible in some form. too many times the abuser goes free.

can't tell you how many dogs have come into rescue abused close to an inch of their death...the "famous" ones get publicized...the others quietly get saved if they can & nursed & healed back into hopefully trusting beings..surprisingly many can be healed phsyically & emotionally. but it isn't an easy road...both for the resucer & the animal.

the unlucky ones don't make it..& are sent on the a gentler place...where they be embraced in a love that they never felt here on solid ground.

THIS IS WHY I RESCUE. TO HELP THOSE IN NEED.

i should add..those cute puppies you buy from that pet store..many come from mills looking as beat up & abused as this cat. seriously.

they do not get vet care, or love or affection or freedom to run in the grass, or play. they are in stacked cages with excrement pouring down onto the bottom ones. they are bred until their insides explode & then beaten & killed. brother to mother? no problem the breeder (& i use that term loosely) doesn't care.

they are shipped in tractor trailers to a store where they are sold at a huge mark up..those that aren't sold go back to the breeder for a life of hell or are killed. yup..sometimes in a back room right at the store.

that too is what comes into rescue.

if you must buy a dog..please buy from a reputable & responsible breeder..NOT A STORE. a good breeder will require you to return the dog to them at any point in the dog's life for any reason if you can't keep it. they will show you the parents, medical records, etc. a store will not.

I could not even watch/read the whole thing. Nothing makes me madder than hearing of animal abuse. I wish I could stop it.

Same here Terry. I wish I could have 10 minutes alone with that boy.
