I love dogs, as well! I would love to adopt/rescue one, so Monster could have a playmate but I'm not home enough for a pupster, and I don't have a big backyard. His amazing dog-like antics are for the books!

Thank you for the compliment!

So I am soo proud and happy to say that finally made progress (knock on wood) He hasnt tried to make his point by most of the before mentioned behaviors! He has even stopped attacking me to get me out of bed! I rate that a 9 on the bad kitty arsenol list. That comes right before #10 (peeing on the pillow) (double knock on wood).

However being the furry smartie pants that he is, he now paws at me relentlessly to communicate. (sigh) I dont mean a couple of times...he goes on and on (he could dig a hole to China if he pawed at the ground like he does).

Poor guy. I know he is still trying to tell me something, get his way...now he is just being super annoying!

Hopefully i will be able to find a way to solve this newest development. I still REALLY want to get him a buddy but I am afraid of undoing all the progress weve made.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rose, could you get him some interactive toys that he could play with during the day? Or would the neighbor with the dog be willing to go in and play with him during the day?

BTW, love "effing effer"!

(((Liz)))) thanks for responding! I asked the local feed and supply if i could enroll him in their doggie day camp! Seriously They said no because of liability issues. Meh. Are they afraid he will hurt a pupster? He would be in heaven!

I tried a walking jacket but it is too late for that. You have to train them young so they dont mistake the jacket as being restrained. He ate his - hah!

I am thinking maybe the next step is to buy him a catio so he can go outside and play and be safe at the same time. It is a little enclosure for cats.

I just really want him to be happy xx

awww my poor boy...he has learned that biting / attacking / yelling at me is NOT going to get him anywhere.

So this morning at 4:45, in order to get my attention, he dragged his toy (bird on a stick) across the hardwood floor from the living area to my bedroom door ... and dropped it there.

Poor guy! I felt so bad I had to get up!

Now the little sucker is playing the sympathy card. He is too freekin' smart!

(playyyyy with me, mom!)
bad kitty! (sigh)
