I have a Black Labrador Retriever, she is a great dog, but she has one big flaw. Beside being big clumsy and knocking over things with her tail. She won't FETCH, she is a RETRIEVER, they are bread to do one thing RETRIEVE things....

But I love her anyway.

((((Mike)))) that is very sweet! I can just imagine you throwing the ball or the chewy toy, and her looking at you like, "really...?" Hah

When you play with my dogs ears and he is annoyed he'll put his paws over his ears to show he is annoyed. It's super cute.

Mike, I have a yellow Lab who would chase something a couple of times, then he wouldn't retrieve it. I swear the look he gave me was to say "Why should I bring it back? You're just gonna throw it again!"

He also HATES water. I point out to him he is a water dog. He doesn't believe me. The one time I took him to the beach to go swimming he acted like I was trying to drown him!
Thanks for this!

Our Black Lab now refuses to fetch, too. Maybe because she is getting older? If we throw something, she will get it the first time, but then she wants to play keep away with us. We have to try to get it out of her mouth!

not really a habit, but she hates getting her feet wet, she won't go out if the ground is wet and if you make her she'll come back in and lick her feet clean.

Al, my yellow Lab, does something similar. He will get the ball, then go lay down with it in his mouth so I can't throw it again. In his case I think it is his age. He is a senior citizen.

I've been spending so much money on chewies for the puppy because, well, she's a puppy that I do not want her chewing on things she's not supposed to, but they keep disappearing. I assumed they were being buried outside and had not been able to catch her taking them out; however, I went to clean and polish the leather sofas, oh crap, ALL of the chewies have been stuffed between cushions and along the back, TONS of 'em. It's her own personal and private storage space to use. I have no idea when she has been doing this, which I'm not sure which startles me more, her digging in the sofa or not keeping a good enough eye on her that I have not seen her doing it. However, thank goodness her personal stash is now MINE to dole out again, and again, and again now that I know her secret.

Our bigger dog Tavi wouldn`t start eating, many times, before tearing off some pieces of her blanket and put inside her food. She would wait a while and the eat it. After that she developed a habit of covering her food with any piece of cloth she finds. She does all of those carefully, like it`s an important process of cooking...

silly kitty cat, my S/O and I can't sleep right now, and our cat has done plunty of cute things, but one thing just made me chuckle out loud- he hopped up on the counter and took a bill
mr. kitty (sometimes i call him mr. boots lol) but he'll runn off with part of my projects of crocheting, i call him a theif but it's my fault for forgetting it on the couch but it makes me laugh, and keeps him busy.

throwing up in the air a part of ''pumpkin'' i was crocheting lol.. silly cat.
guess he's steal things which i guess not all would find cute but i do, makes me laugh.
he has great other great personality traits too.

This is a fun happy thread, I've enjoyed reading it!!

My funniest cat is Orangie, he's a talker big time... and he pretends he doesn't know where his food is, so that I'll go with him to it and pet him while he eats. I'm able to sneak away once he starts purring and eating lol.
