I've never heard of manatees as pets (and it's probably not a good idea, unless you're running an animal sanctuary or something), but I found this on a pet site, and this is darn cute, and you know it!

Pet Manatee?

Awww, so adorable. I have never seen a pup before. Thanks for sharing the pic.
Pet manatee?....cannot imagine but love them. I do appreciate the rescue organizations that do such good work with recovery, rehab, and release when they can.

Maven, my guess is that the baby is a rescue. The person holding it is wearing a Sea World t-shirt. Sea World does manatee rescue here in Florida.

They are wonderful gentle creatures, but can't be made into pets. They are endangered and protected. It's illegal to touch one in the wild.

I didn't think it was actually a pet. Just saying, I found it on a pet site.

Illegal Toilet, how much for the set?

Yea definitely not a pet, super cute. They are endangered due to the fact they live in low water lake/river type areas. i've even heard they get all cut up from motor boats driving in they're low waters, how sad.
