Congrats on the new spiders! I hope they handle being shipped ok (do spiders get scared?), but I know they'll be happy once they meet you!

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear the black widows (probably) didn't make it. I hope the next ones arrive okay.

As long as we're on the subject of spiders, there's one on my wall. It's barely moved since yesterday. What the heck is it doing, just sitting there?

Glad you got your spiders in good health (as far as one can tell)!

The one in my room is still here, just crawled off the ceiling onto the wall, where it's been traveling around. If it would go where I could catch it and release it (actually, I'd get my boyfriend to do it, probably), I would "rescue" it. At the same time, I don't want to cause harm to other bugs.

ET, it's not a huge spider, maybe the size of a pencil eraser, maybe a little larger. Not as big as two, anyway. It's brown, but I don't know if it's a brown recluse. It's across the room over my door now. I'm going to ask my boyfriend later (when he's awake) to see if he can catch it and let it out or somewhere where it might find food.

Note to Self: Do not visit lizardlady's farm.

What does one do with spiders? Do you just watch them? Do they move a lot, spin webs? Webspinning is pretty cool. Do you keep them in a glass aquarium-type of cage? How often are they fed?

spiders pretty much do nothing

tarantulas are called pet rocks

and spiders make a web and then hang in there webs, they don't do much

u can watch them eat but that's about it, once a tarantula grabs a crickets that is all there is to watch really

but widows are most interesting to watch cuase u can watch them web up there food, it more fun than watching a tarantula eat

and I have my black widows in aboreal deli containers that are about 7 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide, and there is cork bark sticks in there that they make there web around, no dirt because humidity kills them

my baby tarantulas are in deli conatiners as well but not aboreal containers cuase they don't climb
Thanks for this!
