I got the tarantula in mail today

its beautiful

but I think it might be dieing

usually if u blow on a tarantula they freak out, I thought it was dead so I blew on it and it didn't move at all

and when u tap on a tarantulas butt they usually move forward

I tapped it on the butt to get it off the paper towel but it wouldn't move

but when I was opening the paper towel I saw its legs move so I know its alive

but something is wrong, I hope it comes back to life

I hope your tarantula recovers soon!

Is there a disclaimer of sorts that they're not responsible for shipping, or could you get a replacement?

Wow, that's expensive!

I would think that if the tarantula is not acting normally and looks like it won't make it, then the guarantee would apply. If it was acting normally then just randomly died, that would be different. I don't know. Hopefully she does okay! Personally, I don't like the idea of big, hairy spiders as pets, but I agree they do have a certain sort of beauty.

Do you think the tarantula knows it is a pet?

Well, I'm glad she's okay! It would be so sad for an animal who could live well over 30 years to not have a full life. It's sad that it doesn't seem uncommon for them to die through the shipping process.

You mean, 170 DOLLARS??? I had no idea spiders could be so expensive! Nobody'd pay that much for me, even if shipping was free.

Although the picture isn't clear, it looks like it's black and yellow, and has some neat markings!

I've always wanted one! That's so cool!
My parents wouldn't let me get one growing up.
I'm glad it's alive and well
