My parents and I decided to play a prank on my brother by painting my dog's nails blue. We're going to see how long it takes him to notice and how he reacts to it. It's pretty funny, it's a sky blue color.

Have you ever painted your pet's nails? What other strange ways have you groomed or dressed your dog?

One really hot summer I decided to clip Al except I didn't have any clippers. I used scissors. Poor guy looked like I scalped him!

I used to be the riding director at a Girl Scout camp. One weekend we were having a cultural event at the camp. The kids dressed up in costumes from different countries. We decided to join in with the horses. I used a dry erase marker to draw shamrocks on a grey horse. Guess what? Dry erase markers do no come off of horse hair!

Thanks for this!

I couldn't find the video but it was on Teen Kids News and it was about these kids with autism or something go out and paint artwork on horses. The paint is temporary and the horses are very mellow, and it really helps the kids.

Do you use regular nail polish for that? I've read it can be toxic, especially if the dog licks or chews its nails. The fumes can also make the dog sick. Here's a couple of links for polish that's supposed to be safe for dogs:

Dog Nail Polish, Nail Polish For Dogs, Dog Safe Nail Polish
