Anybody else ever wonder what it is about cats and bathrooms? My entire crew will come join me in the bathroom. Heaven forbid I close the door or I get this --->

cats and bathrooms
Thanks for this!

My cat isn't allowed in the bathroom - we went through a phase of letting him in but then if someone was having a bath he'd come in and try and jump in the bath, or throw a huge tantrum if he wasn't allowed in, so it's better to have a blanket rule, plus there's stuff in there he'd totally steal (make-up brushes etc).

So he just sticks his paw under the door and grabs anything within reach, pulls towels under the door and miaows until you come out!

I have one cat now, a Maine Coon who follows me to the bathroom. I also have two dogs who do the same. They expect pettings while I'm sitting on the commode! I had another Maine Coon (poisoned by my mean neighbor) who was very timid, but would actually "stomp" into the bathroom each time I was there and expect pettings. I miss her, she was beautiful.

My cat always seems to get hungry when I'm entering the bathroom to take a shower. If I try to take a shower first and then feed him, I get bitten once I leave the shower. So I have to drop everything I'm doing and hurry to the kitchen (sometimes covered in shampoo bubbles). Often I go back and forth between kitchen and bathroom because my cat doesn't like the first choice of food..I raised a little devil : ]

I have the opposite thing with my cat. The bathroom, is the bathroom, hehehe...and it seems she seems ready to escape, if I walk in on her When I am ready to use the bathroom, she is at the door trying to get out.

It's a good set up!! Of course, then there's the issue of boys in the home. I won't even say it....

We keep the cat's litter box in one of our bathrooms, so we can't close that door for too long. Fortunately, we do have two other bathrooms.....

Yes mine do this all the time. Sometimes I walk in there at night and both the cats are just sitting in there looking at me like I'm bothering them or something One will be in the sink and the other will be sitting on the floor blocking the doorway. They usually try to follow people in and if you shut the door one will put her paws underneath and try to open it. They also seem to like to go in the shower when nobody's in there. I'll go looking for them and they'll both be in the bathtub just hanging out I guess

I have one who sits in my lap. Another who wants to sit in my lap. Another who rubs her cold nose on my backside trying to make me get up and make the water go round. She loves to watch the water swirl around in the toilet.

Not only does my guy do most of these things he has to go on lifeguard duty when I take a bath. He comes in and sits in the chair watching until I get out. He'll watch me the whole time I'm reading and every once in a while jump down, pounce over and test the water. I've had a heck of a time trying to keep him out of the tub once the water drains he wants to jump in and make sure all the water has gone down the drain, and he gets hair all over my legs that are still wet. He also needs to inspect the toilet to make sure it has been flushed! He will stand there looking at me if I forget to flush.
