Have little white dog who is really nice and energetic and looks healthy but he doesn't have much of an appetitie. I barely see him eat. IDK, he looks healthy and is in good spirits but most of the time when i feed him he just buries his food. Also when i give him dry dog food the cats eat it before he does and he lets them.

When I have troubles with my poodle, I give her dinner, but take it away after like 10-15 minutes. Then I don't offer it to her until the next day at the same time, for the same amount of time. You do this often enough and they'll learn to eat when you say dinner time is. Maybe he's getting into the cat food or getting too much table food, so he's not hungry for his dry dog food?

Maybe try mixing a small amount of canned food or fry up some lean turkey in his normal diet. One of my Chiweenie pups was the same way and that seemed to do the trick Just be careful when doing that because an abrupt change in his diet could cause diarrhea. Could he be eating the food he buries when you're not looking? Or maybe snacking on whatever he finds on the ground. My pups are little scavengers

My daughter has a dog that is allergic to everything and is on a special diet that includes a spoonful of canned pumpkin and she also feeds it to her cat that doesn't want to eat. They seem to love it. That might get him to eating, since he can't carry it off and bury it.

What are you feeding?

Kibble is very unappealing to many dogs. Kinda like us eating meal replacement bars all day everyday. Try feeding wet food microwaved for a few seconds, very smelly and tasty for the dogs.
