Hi. I live alone with schizoaffective disorder. Well not alone, Fred is my companion and provides me with such love and is always there watching me. He is not demanding, has no other interests, we seem to communicate without words.
Fred is a X-large dog, 130 lbs. stands just below my hip. Leonburger breed. I got him when he was just 6 weeks old, in 2005. He is slowing down, in body but not spirit. our connection seems to get both of us through hard times. Everyone who has a disorder as mine and yours should have a Fred, to help dry tears and validate we are loved. I love you Fred, best medicine, friend, therapist, companion, (and much more) ever! A very beautiful dog. I'm glad you were able to get Fred and that he has been so much help to you. I agree, therapy dogs can do wonders for a person. Or even, just a pet relieves the loneliness of being alone.
You are very lucky and so is Fred. ![]()
