It doesnt matter where I am or how low I am feeling, whether a good day or rhe type I have most days where the oxygen I breathe is wasted on my life....my best friend Ruby is always there. She is never more than a few feet away, knows when I need her just to be near, or when to jump up and give me a kiss. My wife nick names her "ambush", for if I am trying ro go somewhere outside or do something inside, I will often get distracted and just end up patting, cudling, talking or otherwise offloading emotion onto her.
In many ways she is the best therapy I get for ahe loves unconditionally, is akways there, easily forgives, and senses moods better than humans.
Wht am I sharing this....I don't know ......perhaps orhers can relate? But why do I find I love my dog more than 95% population? I wish I had more friends. Why is it soooooo hard to make friends who just accept you? I don't lie cheat steal smoke take drugs other than meds, and once in a blue moon can even make others laugh (why when Im on an hugh do people still think.....oh he's just got bipolar thats not really what hes like)?
Sitting here 5.30 in morning with dog by side....bathroom destroyed due to last nights manic episode and a small water leak, why cant just someone stay my friend for longer than two three weeks?
Does anyone make lifelong friendships anymore.....even marriages dont last that long now....

That's a beautiful looking horse...you have to love that unconditional love clause built into all animaks ( except cats when they get grumpy and don't want to come inside for dinner. ...lol

Thanks for sharing pictures of Ruby with us. She is a cutie.

I have two myself and any friends I have I have to be the one to call and check on them. They never just call to check on me. I have 3 that are like this they call themselves my friends but I sure don't feel like they are most of the time.

I'll stick to dogs and horses anytime.

I don't understand why though? I just put it down to people being busy. ..how often do I think someone during day "oh yeah must talk them". But then after writing several notes and being in right mood I do ring.

Maybe just people think text or forwarding email enough?

I know for me my pets give me the level of attention/affection I need. Doesn't seem to be harmful to Ruby either

I know this is late (I am always behind). I can really relate to what you are saying about friends and pets. You seem thankful for your pets. My landlords wont let me have any pets. It makes going home so hard; so lonely.

Any chance of fish in a tank or budgies outside in cage etc with the landlord?
