I posted in another thread that I adopted an orphaned kitten last Friday. He is a pale grey with faint tabby stripes. He was probably about three weeks old when I brought him home. I was bottle feeding him at first. He's lapping milk replacement from a saucer now. I gave him a tiny bit of canned food tonight since his teeth have cut through. He scarfed up the canned food. I'm going to start mixing pablum for him too. I'm afraid the canned food might be too rich for his little tummy.

I believe our furbabies "earn" their names. He meows and meows and MEOWS!!!! Saturday night I said "You are a regular little Motor Mouth Mike, aren't you?" It stuck. He is now known as either Mike or Mikey.

I haven't gotten any pictures of him yet. I'll post some as soon as I take them. Right now he is tiny enough he fits in the palm of my hand.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, he's stolen a huge chunk of my heart. I'm still hurting over putting Callie and Al down on Saturday, but he is bringing some joy to my heart.

Awesome. Hope to see some pictures, soon! Kittens are insanely adorable - oh, to be a kitten... *daydreams*

How did he do when you went back to work Tuesday? He must be getting used to it by now, 3 days.

I'm glad he's helping your heart heal. Baby kittens or so precious how could you not fall in love with it.

Sidestepper, he is handling my being gone during the day pretty well. I think having the hurt little one keeps him company. He screams his head off to get fed as soon as I walk in the door though.
