weasel riding woodpecker

Incredible photo shows a weasel 'riding' a woodpecker

This picture is incredible. Sadly the story reports the weasel is actually attacking the bird.
Thanks for this!

How did the bird get away and will the baby weasel be okay without it's mum?

It's an awesome picture. Thanks for sharing. I don't know how the bird managed to take off with the weasel on it's back but it must have a lot of strength in those wings.

Possum, that's no baby weasel. It's a full grown one that was going to have the bird for dinner! The bird got away when it landed and the weasel was distracted by the photographer.
