My little shih-tzu maltese mix jumped up into the chair I was sitting in like she usually does in the afternoon. But the thing she did differently was she came up to me and snuggled down into my chest and gave me a somewhat of a puppy hug as if to say "it's okay I love you!"

Yes we have the same breed and she is always jumping up into my lap , they're a very affectionate animal

Animals have a way of making us feel loved and important. I have a maltese mix, too. He's 15 and blind but he still cuddles with me at night making me feel very special.
