My cat woke up the morning sort of in trouble. He woke up with his eye sort of partially closed and watering. Also, then it seems he hurt his leg as he has been crying going up and down the stairs.

I am not going to the vet however, because he is terrible there and often for some unknown reason he can have bouts like this and get better, but it is misery inducing waiting and wondering if I will have to take him to the vet. It is bizarre he was prefect yesterday.

Not helping is the fact I haven't been feeling good all weekend and so I am tried and wanting to rest.

I have been studying the book "the secret" and for the moment I am just going to ask the universe to make him better. I hope you will all join.

Best wishes for your kitty's return to good health (as well as for your own.) Our dog is aging. And one day he seems to be doing well; but then the next he'll refuse to eat. Plus he's been on medication for both diarrhea & vomiting. We're thinking it may not be that far off that we'll lose him. So I know something of what you're going through with your cat. My thoughts are with you...

Sending positive thoughts into the universe for the health of you and your kitty. I saw your earlier thread on the challenge of getting him to the vet, so I really hope that this is some passing thing, that doesn't require a trip.

Well the good news is that I got a look at the eye and it sort of seems like there is a small pimple on the lid -- a stye. I have been told I should give that a week and not panic just yet.

The bad news is when had a thunderstorm and my cat always runs up the stairs to hide under the bed. He didn't tonight. He just kept crying at the base of the stairs. Luckly I purchased him a cat kennel and set it up yesterday on the first floor (it is cloth) and he is happy as a clam in there so I will let him stay there. But still worried that a thunderstorm couldn't get him up the stairs.

Well, just because he likes to mess with me.. I went to bed last night only to find him sitting at the foot of my bed about 3 minutes after lying down. So that means he went up the stairs. Then, I got up to usher him to his room and he ran down the stairs full throttle. So I guess his leg is ok.

He still has the watery eyes this morning but it does seem better. Crossing fingers that it resolves on its own.

I hope all will be well with your kitty, too. What's the treatment for a sty?

Hi apparently love.

He seems all better now. I can't see any problems.
