Gonna try this again. The article explains why dogs get the zoomies, excess energy. Big shock, right?

I love the videos included. The one of the greyhound at the dog park cracked me up.

Lol....my eskies never got zoomies. My Aussie Shepherd puppy gets zoomies.....mostly outside but sometimes indoors. My black lab gets the zoomies only if she gets off leash outside. She is gone like a flash.

I also read somewhere that zoomies can happen when the dog is over tired/ over stimulated especially in puppyhood.

It's funny when Cote gets the zoomies on wet grass or leaves or zooms into the house with wet feet on the hard wood floor. Like a baseball player sliding in home.

Exoskeleton, the greyhound is so fast. No surprise there, huh? Then another joins him and another and another and another 'til there's a whole pack of them charging around. Love it!

Eskie, my Aussie used to do zoomies around us in the yard. She'd be going so fast that her shoulder would almost touch the ground when she banked into the turns. Hadn't heard the term zoomies then. We called it "dog orbits" because she circled us.

LOL!

Some of mine gets zoomies after pooping. I take as a warning to avoid the litter box for awhile cuz they just dropped a stinker.

Glad you tried again. This was hilarious. The one jumping into the pool holding all the balls seems to enjoy making a mess.

I found one more of a dog recovering from the zoomies.

When I was a kid, my dog used to go on walks with us in the country so no leash. That dogged ran 4 miles for every mile we walked checking everything out. No wonder they were tired when we got home!

I am working on that but puppy brain is sometimes on & sometimes off. It I turn sideways he will zoom past me & not connect. He does that with his "come" too. Afterburners flaming. He just forgets to stop.

I made piles of brush yesterday. Today I am loading & hauling to the burn pile. I seriously didn't feel like doing even that after all the work yesterday but the loading & hauling is almost finished & I definitely feel like that pup right now. Just taking a short water break & a quick breather.....then I quit early today & then after doggie walks I will LOOK just like that pup

Oh puppy zoomies. The other day Cote had the zoomies while I was loading brush into my truck. Racing all around the area I was in & digging holes. Then we went inside & the zoomies followed & he was slamming into walls & skidding around my kitchen island. I let him back outside & all he wanted to do was jump on me & nip so we went back inside. Within a few minutes he had crashed on the hard wood coffee table I just have sitting in front of my dining room bay window & I could breathe again.
