Francis started to be a bit of an ahole to Jimi, and also to me. But after neutering he is going back to normal. I feel that we're a happy family now. I've done the most I can for the animals, it was hard when I was sick (doctor induced severe illness), but I still managed to walk the dog even if she would have liked more.
Sadly enough we're not back in my friend's house, I was going to go there in june, but now end of august. This because some strange conflict with my friend's GF's adult son that will spend his summer there. He talked them into not letting me come when he was there. He is manipulative, spoiled and outright psychopatic and friend's GF is a big enabler. My friend had death in her family and she would have needed me there, and our dog (she is owned by both of us). She misses our dog, and actually the cats as well. I think Jimi had his breakthrough because of her. She is an animal whisperer and she decided that Jimi would start trusting us to pet him, and it happened. She is so awesome.

Jimi is fine. Francis.... lol. He is even bigger now. He is twice as big or more than the other cat. He's destructive, he likes playing. With my stuff. I'm not used to hosting a tiger that can walk away with your pillow or a large book. That can reach the top shelf and the throw everything down. We're shifting to our other home in September, and he will feel better, he likes to run up and down the stairs there. Here is just one level. If he wasn't so brave he could be an outdoor cat. But he doesn't know what danger is. He is my problem now....
The other day he wrecked my laptop, I only have part of my screen working now, sigh. Luckily it was a cheap machine, and I got something similar that will arrive in the mail. A not super fast refurb HP laptop. In USD about 225. I haven't had super much play time with him, when I was my sickest, I had to drag myself out to walk the dog. Got scared this was gonna last forever. See what I can find in the toy world that he likes. They get all the cuddles they want, but I think I haven't been very active. Francis likes sleeping on my stomach under the sheets, I'm used to it so I don't notice him coming and going, but sometimes I wake up and wondering why the cover is so heavy. He trashed my scale so I don't know how heavy he is now. But I guess about 8-9 kilos (18 pounds). The dog is fine but she got bladder crystals, so she's only allowed special food and NO chewies! She loves to chew, I've tried toys but she doesn't want them. Also tartar built up, when I was sick I really couldn't, but now I have to brush her teeth. She has to go in for that and also remove a broken tooth, I'm not happy, sedation isn't 100 % safe ever. But at least after that is done sometime in the fall, I can start brushing from zero, all I can do now is prevent more tartar. When I go stay with my friends again one of them will do the brushing, the dogs accept her more than anyone to do that. I tried to explain to the doc how important it is that I got better, for the pets, but he just brushed me off, and told me my thyroid labs would be fine, they weren't, he called and lied to me about that, I checked for myself and things weren't OK at all. He said I was just whining for being sad I wasn't walking the dog enough. Like pff a dog, they're not worth anything... to him. ![]()
