yesterday on my walk i saw what I assume were two pet rabbits on someone's lawn. the lawn was fenced in, and they were pretty good-sized, plump rabbits though a little dirty. dirty might not mean anything, my cat goes out and gets dirty. but do people let their rabbits into the yard? is that a normal thing?
i'd grab them if i thought they were abandoned, but someone was home in the house i think. it was dark but i thought i saw a TV on.

When I had rabbits I kept them in hutches, but I do know people who let their rabbits run around the yard. I would worry about cats and dogs attacking them, but for the most part they seem to do okay. Yeah, the rabbits you saw are probably pets, not abandoned.

I've got two rabbits... the older one, Paddy is out in the garden all day (morning till late)... he loves it and he's safe... he has got access to the shed where his hutch is (whilst it's winter). But, yeh.

thanks guys, that's good to hear. it makes sense, it's not at all cold here though there is a fair amount of wildlife and cats roaming around. but also those rabbits wanted no part of me, so it's just as well i don't have to attempt to catch them.
