Had my intake yesterday for Binge Eating Disorder treatment. I start one on one treatment the week after Thanksgiving. (Is it cruel or kind to wait until after Thanksgiving to treat someone for Binge Eating?) I start group therapy in January.
I also have an appointment for a medication consult. The ED therapist I saw yesterday suggested antidepressants. I am depressed, so that wasn't shocking.

I guess my question is, What antidepressants are usually prescribed for people with BED and depression? Is anyone willing to share what worked and didn't work for them?

I can't answer your question about what antidepressants because I don't know if there are any for BED. I do know that accountability and support help. I joined Overeaters Anonymous online and I can't rave enough about the transformation that I'm undergoing. It has been helping me with my BED... I've looked for treatment in my area but can't find any.

Good luck in treatment! I hope they have an awesome program and help you greatly.
