Whenever I fail a test or something of the sort; I seek out food for comfort.
I eat anything sweet until the feeling of being a failure has subsided or I find a way to use food to create a good feeling/sensation.
I feel like I don't deserve anything in my life, when I fail, so I turn to food.
I'm aware that this isn't healthy, but I don't know another outlet for my feelings.
I don't like talking to people about how I'm feeling because they tend to patronize me or make things worse.
Any suggestions?

Hi. I tend to binge eat as well. Because I usually binge eat at home, I try to stay away from home. If I'm upset, I go out and distract myself in other ways. I really like to read & write, so I go to a library, read and find inspiration around me to write. Writing is also very helpful. It's such a good escape.

Good luck.

I have the same problem. I find it difficult to do anything else in the moment...but one thing that is helping me slowly come out of it is filling my circle with more people who understand what I'm going through.

Good luck. And welcome to PC.

Thank you very much.

yes, a good hobby that can distract as well as being very absorbing is great. I personally have to find that. Whatever works. It used to be playing computer games. Before that it was making christmas tree ornaments. Esentially its destraction. I need to find a great destraction where I can be absorbed in what I am thinking and doing. I think the question to ask if this: what activity makes me feel good?
