I like to fast. I also like to eat. I've been gaining a lot of weight & have had many med changes. When I talked to my pddr about it he ignored me. When I restrict my food intake I get very grouchy & then the negative self talk starts about what a big fat loser I am. Then I might start looking for the worst food to eat & eat too much of it. I feel like I'm all over the road w/ food. I also feel it relates to my cycle. Sometimes I eat like a snake. A meal can last a day & half. Then sometimes I never reach that full feeling.
The numbers on the scale tell me my self worth & how I feel about my body. Including whether I can stand to be touched. I'm worried if I explain this to a dr (& not sure which dr to tell) that they look @ me a bit weird & tell me to knock it off; your fine. Any honest ideas? Thank you! |

Well, if you find the proper real life dietician, then that would be the best choice. Information on the internet can be confusing because people have different viewpoints that are not based on accurate, reliable, and repeatable studies. If your doctor(s) do not respond to your questions, then try a pharmacist(for side effects of meds) and a dietician(for your diet).
Myself, I just can repeat what I read in newspapers and the internet sources that sound the most realistic. So take what you like and leave the rest behind. Every person's body is different in terms of processing food and medications.
