Overeating on top of emotional pain is making me feel sick. It helps to create pain and added pressure. It really makes things worse. It hurts!

Hi PianogirlPlays. It's nice to meet you. I'm sorry you are hurting. Do you see a doctor?
I would ask him/her if you can see a therapist. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Sincerely,

Piraeus

I have started therapy but oh my gosh waiting the week! It really hurts today because I see no resolution with my daughter. It has been a painful week.

I am trying to think of some simple way to reconnect with her. Nothing demanding just a picture of something she might be interested in. Just to open a little door.

Hi PianogirlPlays. I definitely can relate. The physical pain of getting sick from binge eating on top of the emotional pain is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Hopefully all of us can find a way to get out of this viscous cycle.

I wish for the best for you and your daughter.

Yesterday we had to put our dog down. That sadness helped open communication with my daughter. She was able to relate to that. Long way to go. Husband's surgery next week. Hope I get some relief from some of the pain built up inside of me.

Hello and good evening from London, UK. PianogirlPlays, I'm so very sorry to hear about your poor doggie, that's a lot of sadness on top of your other painful issues. I've had every ED for the last 33 years and binging has been pretty near the top of the ugly pile for most of it. Not only do we have the horrible physical pain, which can make us very sick and ill, we have the mental pain too ~ that's the one which people without our disorders can't imagine. As somebody has said, it's all a very very vicious cirle which feels impossible to break. I'm involved in two different types of therapy, though not directly for the ED's, but for my Borderline Personality Disorder. The latter makes ED's a typical part of the disorder. Keep sharing here and finding friends who will understand you and what better place than PC! HUGS and LOVES. XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thanks for this!

I appreciate these kind responses. A little better today but today I hope I will deal better with the food.
