it's lovely

then if you put some mint sauce on the lamb, you have absolute heaven (that is, if you like mint)

I am not sure if you can buy mint sauce where you are, but you could always check amazon
Thanks for this!

I love roast lamb...I always avoid the mint sauce though; I've never actually tried it, I just seem to have an "aversion without trying" against it

Just wandering around. Over 2 years of "check-ins" here... Considering if I have the will/want to start again. It's good to know this thread is here~
Best of luck to all. Food is such a difficult thing (for me at least).

you need to try it at least once

I don't know if this will help at all, but i'm actually not a fan of sauces- and it was the same for mint.. when i heard about mint sauce, i was reluctant to try it at first, but I love the smell of mint and it just really got to me and i'm like, I need a bit of that, I really do

and it was awesome

I did a rather stupid thing myself

said i'd order christmas chocolates now (because it's getting near that time), and said i'd not actually open the tin until christmas

well: long story short, i saw a bargain on them on amazon, ordered them, and have nearly finished the tub- all of it.

I know i should have waited, I know. but this is chocolate we are talking about

I tend to like sauces, so I guess I really should just try it. Might look into this when I do my next bigger food shop

---
Binged last night again, take-away is my downfall. I've decided I'm not allowed more than one/month unless I'm not on my own. So here's to day one.

takeaways are my downfall too!.

in a typical month, I have 4 pizza takeaways, and 4 fish and chip takeaways (with 1 or 2 chinese thrown in)

Sounds about right! Anytime I'm a bit stressed or work's gone wrong in some way...or even good, it's some sort of take away. It's expensive and it never actually leaves me feeling good, I usually feel guilty as soon as I finish the order.

bit of a mixed weekend- saturday wasn't so good because i spent half the day eating candy (on top of my regular meals), polished off about 3 tins of stuff.

yesterday was better, I didn't eat as much (in sted of 4 batters I had 2, not many roast potatoes etc), but I did finish off my jelly bean tin which i suppose is a letdown as I did so well during dinner

My eating feels out of control. I can't stop even though I'm broke and soon to be out of a job. I just can't stop myself, I constantly want to eat, even if I'm not hungry.

I have been on serious binges lately. I bought a Nestle Halloween bag of snack sized candy bars on my last peapod order and yesterday I think I might have had about 15 snack sized candy bars. I'm going to buy it again. It's about $12 per bag. I'm afraid of how much of this candy I can binge. It was somehow the more I ate, the more I wanted. I don't want to develop diabetes. It's like that every day when I have these big bags of candy. I want candy corn and peanut butter taffy too. But I doubt I can go anywhere to get it. I don't know.

That's fast delivery! Yes, the holiday bag of candy is a lot of fun, especially the Halloween ones. It's been a very long time since I had these particular candy bars and I haven't been able to resist. 😮

I wish deliveries in my building were consistently reliable. What's Monster Munch? It sounds good. I want jelly candies now, like orange slices and gum drops. I want licorice too.

orange slices!.

Angelique, you have just made my day.

I've been trying to think of some sweets that I had ages ago, and when i asked people, I kept using the name "fruit slices", and no one had a clue what I meant

of course.. it's orange slices. thank you!.

monster munch is just a type of potato chip in various flavours. you can have roast beef, flaming hot, or pickled onion- they are wonderful!. (especially the roast beef)

my big tin of chocolate arived today, and though i've not eaten out of it yet, I am eating out of a fairly large bag of potato chips- so still not a good day
Thanks for this!
