okay.. so the thread title probably does not give much a way, but my question is this:

is their anyone on here who gets really hungry- so eats a full meal, then at the table start feeling full (you know the feeling, like you can't eat anymore), then as soon as you leave to go somewhere else it's like you've not eaten- and you feel starving again?

notice this a lot with me some days

Yes, I do feel this way some days. I think it's due to the meds I'm on. :/

I get this way as well. I'm not really sure what causes it. I've noticed this feeling when I wasn't on meds so I'm not sure that I can say it's because of my meds.

Not really. When I get really full at the table I usually have to wait a while before I can get back to just feeling comfortable.

But if I don't get really full and just eat a normal sized meal that should be satisfying, I still feel ready to eat a whole other meal at the drop of a hat.

I'm the same way most of the times. as well as this, i also have some issues with constant eating; not only i don't feel full after huge meals , i 'm actually always eating ,even when i'm not hungry.it's really bad.it might sound silly to others but to me it's really serious .
i've noticed that occasionally(very rarely) when i'm busy doing something that i really enjoy, something that keeps my mind occupied , all these problems disappear.

I sometimes feel like a switch has been turned on and that I can't find it in order to turn it off.

It scares me so much, and I'm afraid I'll literally eat myself to death and I so don't want to do that!

It's not silly to me at all. I have no clue what people mean when they say, "not right now, I'm not hungry" or, "no thanks, I just ate". Usually, I'm just happy when I haven't been scavanging for something to eat continuously. I can't imagine turning down food because I wasn't hungry. I guess that's the thing, I'm not at all eating because i'm hungry, I'm eating because that's kind of how I deal with life.

But you're right. If life isn't too terrible, I don't have as bad a problem with food. If I feel bored and stuck, then it's a major challenge.
Thanks for this!

Yes, I do feel that way! I'll eat the biggest steak in the restaurant plus an appetizer, extra side dishes, bread, etc., then feel stuffed like I am going to throw up. Then about 15 minutes later, I feel hunger pangs for more food! So I'll go home and devour a bag of chips and dip. Then, soon hungry again, so I'll eat a package of salami (I crave red meat). I now weigh 250 pounds, most of which I gained in the 4 years since I've been married (although my whole family has a problem with overeating). I've tried dieting, fasting, etc., but only gained back more weight. I managed to get down to 160 pounds only when my ex fiance broke up with me and I went into a deep depression. I don't know the answer. I pray, which helps, but I end up absentmindedly at fast food places, buying "family packs" of food, which I eat most of myself.
Thanks for this!

I guess I'm going through phases where I'm either constantly hungry no matter how much I eat and then more normal phases. It doesn't help that exercising is so hard. Or that it's difficult to stock healthier foods here.

This is me everyday. I'm constantly hungry and it drives me nuts. I don't know what to do about it though.

This thread is why I like being here.

Most people don't understand what it is like to always feel hungry
Or how turning down food is just weird to us
Going to a restaurant means you finish everything given no matter if you feel full

And turning down dessert? It seems strange to me that people can turn
down dessert. I mean, come on, refuse dessert...?? No way!
