Hi
I do not post here much. But I have a huge compulsive eating disorder.

I belong to a weight loss website. A couple of the people there seem to have found some success with a free half hour youtube video for hypnosis. To me it seems good. holistic, even. I was wondering if anyone has tried this stuff.

The person who made the video calls it a "30 day challenge". So I think that it takes 30 days for the benefit to really set in. Makes sense, I guess. I tried it for 2 days and then good old resistance got the better of me.

Just curious if anyone here has tried online free hypnosis for food issues. Thanks

glad to tell you how to find the video. Not sure if its okay to post a link. So I wont. If you google David McGraw Ultimate Weight Loss Hypnosis -- 30 Day Challenge! youtube you should be able to find it. I was really impressed with how he did it. I would love to get together an online group of folks who want to challenge ourselves to do it. I might be able to override the ADD / resistance that way

not me.

had a bad experience with hypnosis (on an unrelated issue), and sort of put me off it for good.

I am REALLY sorry that happened to you. I knew someone who had that happen. A bad experience while under hypnosis. I have been hypnotized many times irl. For me it was really useful. Sorry again that you had a bad experience.

I am interested. Going to look this up and check back with you. I am desperate and I hate the thought of dragging myself to OA.

I listened to the 30 minute youtube by David McGraw. Maybe I need to do it a few more times to get the hang of listening to the guy say soothing stuff. I kept getting anxious because it wasn't making me relaxed.

Sorry its causing anxiety. Maybe it might not be right for you? I bet there are some pretty awesome people out there who just cannot relate to that recording for one reason or another. If you find that you are still getting anxious, then I have a couple of other hypnosis suggestions for you, if you would like. One is free. Its through Keyser Permenente. The other one supposedly costs money. But two people said it worked well for them. I get my info from members of a diet website. Its a pretty big one. Some are maintaining. Some have 20 lbs to go. Others have 200 lbs to go. I found the hypnisos info in threads there. All three recordings.

if you want the name and link for the other free one I can give it to you. Or the name of the one that 2 people bought and said it worked well for them. Also, I can even give you the name of the website. I like it. You might too. Just pm me if you want any or all of the info.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
