I've struggled with my weight for a long time. I've done weight watchers, slimming world, calorie counting, and nothing works. I stick to the programs i do to the letter and whilst I don't gain anything, I don't lose anything either.

I've literally halved my portion sizes, I eat off a small side plate rather than a normal dinner plate, I've stopped snacking and dont drink anything fizzy except sparkling water. But nothing is happening. I have crohns disease and take medication for this but the consultants never seem to give me an answer about whether this will affect my weight.

I just can't stop thinking about food. I've started going to bed when my ddaughter does at 8pm so I'm away from the kitchen but I just think about what I've got and what I can have. I dont buy in anything sweet apart from fruit, so instead of having a few grapes I'll go and make 2 pieces of toast. I just don't know why and I wish I could understand it.

Hi Lucy, yes I do exercise. I don't have a car and so I walk everywhere and go for walks on my days off

Sometimes when we eat too little our bodies retaliate and go into starvation mode and don't allow us to lose anything.
