I’m a binge eater. I feel very ashamed. I wish I had someone to help me.

I also purge. I wish I could control it. It consumes every moment of my day. I either have to be so in control I eat nothing and if I fail there is no off switch , I dont get full I'm just sick. I'm so ashamed.

Have you found anyways to break a cycle or regain some control?

My mother used to binge and purge she got help then she would overeat most of her life she didn't yoyo diet but she went on a diet a couple times and lost a lot of weight once when she went to we meetings. I overeat and binge and I finally got the idea to get therapy for it after coming to this site. Hope everyone gets the help they need and make proper life changes. I hope to get the help I need and I have my theory of why I overeat and binge. I know it is because of all the abuse I suffered when I was a child. But I can't let that consume me like I consume food.
