My Mom has been on Fosamax, and due to her failing memory, I have been filling her pill pack for a year now. We recently had a bone density test for her, and it showed that her bones are much worse. What an awful feeling for the caregiver when things like this happen! Now, we find that these drugs are actually causing fractures of the femur and jaw degeneration. She has been taken off the Fosamax, and you can bet that I will never take these drugs! Anyone who has a loved one on these drugs, please have a bone density test done for them, and then make your decisions carefully. I know every case is different.
Thanks for this!
